Election
The Election Sector of Bumthang Dzongkhag is responsible for conducting free and fair elections, including Parliamentary Elections, Local Government Elections, Bye-Elections, and Vacant Demkhong Elections in the Dzongkhag. It fosters mature partnerships with other Dzongkhag sectors and regional offices, maintains a roster of professional and reliable election officials available at all times, and ensures a voter-friendly environment to deliver electoral services. The sector emphasizes dynamic and independent decision-making, conducts research for informed decisions, and implements an optimal ICT-enabled electoral system. It also runs a strong civic and voter education program, ensures clear, consistent, and precise by-laws, and maintains a credible electoral roll for the Dzongkhag.
